Gideon was stuck in a dead end job in New York City with no real friends, trying to figure out what to do with his life. The answer comes one day in the form of Tricity, a strange girl who shows up at Gideon’s cubicle with a mysterious note. She tells him an incredible story. Along the way, he meets colorful characters like Arif, the deposed keeper of history, Vilnius, Moloch’s embittered son turned dictator, Barabus, a warmongering Behemoth turned pacifist, and Maev, possibly the sexiest pirate to ever fly the skies.
Gideon slowly turns from reluctant participant to possible hero, confronting monsters, armies, and Death itself on his way to the final confrontation to save Morrigan (and every other living thing).
